Local tae kwon do and martial arts students at Massie’s Martial Arts in Hutto, TX recently teamed up with KOHunger.com and donated over 175 pounds of food to help support local food banks through the holidays.

HUTTO, TEXAS (KOHunger.com) November 23, 2008 — Hutto taekwondo students at Massie’s Martial Arts sure know how to pitch in when people are in need. Students of the local martial arts studio recently teamed up with KOHunger.com to sponsor a food drive to support local food banks, and were able to collect over 175 pounds of food in just two weeks time.

“I’m very proud of the work my students are doing to help end hunger here in Williamson County,” remarked Mr. Massie.

“We put this food drive together on very short notice, and it has been a great success. It just goes to show that you don’t need much in the way of organization to pull something like this off – all you really need are a bunch of people who are willing to chip in and help.”

Massie’s Martial Arts will continue to collect non-perishable food items and personal grooming items through December 22nd. Donations can be dropped off at their Hutto location at 409 West Front St. #230 in Hutto, Texas.
